RelyOn Nutec has appointed Jesper Sjørvad as Business Development Manager. With a wealth of experience from a broad and relevant industry palette, Jesper Sjørvad joins RelyOn Nutec as the company’s Business Development Manager.
Jesper brings insight and experience from both training and HSE into RelyOn Nutec. Initially, he started out in a passenger ship company both navigating and developing and conducting various safety courses for all the crewmembers according to relevant standards. Since, he has worked with safety and training in relation to the maritime industry, oil and gas and renewables for more than 20 years.
Coming from the maritime industry, he started as an instructor at the precursor for the now RelyOn Nutec. He was instructing safety as well as developing the Basic Offshore Safety Course, which became the standard for personnel working on the Danish Continental Shelf, for the Danish Energy Agency, at the time being the responsible authority for Danish offshore industry.
At the same time Jesper also managed the Crisis Management Department for RelyOn Nutec Denmark which all in all helped install a broad knowledge and understanding of all aspects of HSE. This became useful, when he later became Operations Manager at Esvagt A/S; the Danish company delivering safety and support at sea and also later during his work as Director of HSE at A2SEA (now DEME). For the past 5 years, Jesper has worked as HSE Expert in the political organization Oil Gas Denmark and added stakeholder management and political negotiation skills to his profile.

To me, all accidents can be avoided, and I have yet to find the one that hasn’t been”.
